80s means different things to everyone. We might all have a different definition for it. I interviewed some of my classmates, and they told me about what they think was special in the 80s in China and around the world.
Tam Wing Lun (Alan Tam) had big influence on the Cantonese Pop scene in the 80s. His famous songs, such as “愛情陷阱” and “水中花“ were on everyone’s lips.

Disco got started in the late 70s, however, it became really popular in the 80s. Disco ball has been a symbol of the 80s since then.
It was the best decade to fall in love. According to my friend, the love relationship at that time seemed to be very pure. People did not care about what you have or what you are going to have. Pure romance, no materialism.
